Helena Cullen is a pop and lyrical singer from Argentina, who lived in Brazil for more than ten years. Her artistic path features music, theatre, dance and singing at the strum of her guitar, in a journey across different periods, rhythms, languages and styles. From the fusion of Brazilian culture with her Buenos Aires origins, bossatango is born, a proposal in which the suburban melancholic porteña feeling intertwines with Brazil´s merry swing. As a result, Bossatango fuses music from two of the world's greatest composers PIAZZOLLA & JOBIM.
In 2006 she recorded her first solo album, "Corazón vagabundo", whose name is inspired by a song written by Caetano Veloso, and combines bossa nova, boleros and jazz with delicate arrangements that find unity in the artist's personality.
With the real need to generate an own and innovative idea to integrate Argentine and Brazilian music, at the end of 2010 she recorded in Brazil, her second album “Ayres de Bossa” produced by the Brazilian guitarist Luiz Meira (Gal Costa´s lead musician for many years).

“The great Argentine singer Helena Cullen who has lived in Brazil is passionate about our Brazilian music. Upon her return to Buenos Aires, she performed in shows and created albums which present the very best of our music, with sophisticated jazz arrangements and with an emphasis that gives her interpretations a graceful note.”
